Ikkat
Ikkat, Pochampally & Patola refer to the same technique of weaving, which is a cross-over between printing and weaving. The main difference between a Pochampally and a Patola, both using the Ikat technique, is that of geography and the design language.
Ikkat is a symbiosis of colors and patterns in the textile world . Ikkat collection is curated from the heritage town of Pochampally, where each yarn is pre-dyed before weaving to achieve the required finesse in design. These fabrics are available in silks as well as cotton .
